The
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and the California Department
of Public Health (CDPH) require Pasadena Water & Power
to provide annual water quality testing results to
its consumers.
These reports are designed to inform you about drinking water quality and
to consider the challenges of delivering a safe and protected supply of
drinking water. We encourage you to read the reports carefully to
familiarize yourself with the protection and conservation of
Pasadena
's valuable water resources.
PWP is required by CDPH to test well water for organic chemicals, minerals,
metals, and bacteria. PWP is also required to test regularly for bacteria
and total trihalomethanes in our distribution system. Lead and copper are
tested in tap water from selected residences. The Metropolitan Water
District of Southern California (MWD), our supplier of imported water, is
responsible for testing of their treated water.
