Flu Campaign 2008

The Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) is offering free & low cost flu shots to people that fall under any of the following groups:

  • 50 years or older;

  • Children 6 months through 18 years of age;

  • Pregnant women;

  • Have a chronic illness, (e.g. asthma, heart, liver or lung disease, diabetes, kidney disorder, immuno-compromised from medication and/or disease e.g. HIV)

  • Caregivers of children less than 6 months of age and household contacts of high-risk person above;

  • Residents of nursing homes or chronic facilities;

  • HealthCare Workers.

Special note: We encourage individuals to first seek a flu vaccination from their Primary HealthCare Provider, in order to free-up vaccine for those with more limited resources.


Free and low cost flu clinics for all eligible adults are

scheduled at the following sites:

Wednesday, Nov 5th  from 10a.m. - 2p.m. @ the Pasadena Senior Center Located at 85 East Holly Street.  (You must contact the Pasadena Senior Center at 795-4331 to get an appointment card).

Wednesday, Nov 12th from 10 a.m. - 2p.m. @ Villa Parke Community Center Located at 363 E. Villa Street.

Wednesday, Nov. 19th from 10 a.m. - 2p.m. @ Jackie Robinson Center

Located @ 1020 N. Fair Oaks Avenue.   

 


Starting October 1st, please visit the PPHD Travel & Adult Immunization Clinic located at 1845 N. Fair Oaks Avenue will be offering flu shots for all eligible adults as well as any healthy adults for a cost of $25.70 while supplies last.

Tuesdays – Thursdays 8:15 - 10:30 a.m. and

Mondays – Thursdays 1:15 - 4:30 p.m. 


The PPHD Child Health Clinic, also located at 1845 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, will be offering free and low cost flu shots for eligible children while supplies last. Appointments are required! To make your appointment, please call (626) 744-6136.
