ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Welcome to
the City of Pasadena's Economic Development Division! Our
office is here to serve the needs of the City's diverse businesses and
institutions. We will facilitate connections with various City
departments and other local resources when entities start or expand
their operations. We also oversee film permits and
coordinate both public and private special events that take place
here in Pasadena.
Each of our programs strives to secure ongoing local investment that
sustains a healthy job market, provides quality amenities, and
creates stable tax revenues. These efforts involve regular contact
with property owners, business representatives, local institutions,
and residents.
This division works closely with local institutions such
as California Institute of Technology (Caltech),
NASA's Jet
Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Huntington Memorial Research Institutes
(HMRI), and Art Center College of Design. We
also staff the City Council’s
Economic Development and Technology
Committee.
